Recommendation from atterer

Furthermore, when I clicked on "Preview", the system insisted on uploading my whole data, probably only to throw it away immediately again. I had to upload it again using "save". The upload takes quite a few minutes every time, the futile first wait was a bit annoying.

message to Atterer: I think I need some additional information on this one ... When I select an attachment, and then click preview (before hitting save), it ignores my attachment and goes to preview mode (annoying, yes). The only way to have the attachment 'stick' to my submission is if I click save. Are you saying that it still takes a few "minutes" just to get the preview to work, even though it is actually ignoring the attachment?

I am concerned that the network connection may be too slow .... CPU usage on server is always very low 5-10%

I cannot remember 100% what I did (I may have been clicking around elsewhere, or maybe I only turned on JavaScript? after this problem), but for me a file upload definitely happened when I clicked on preview; the outgoing bandwidth of my DSL line was saturated when I looked.

For some reason the WebGUI maintainers say that this does not qualify as a bug - see this link:

www.plainblack.com/bugs/tracker/cs-attachment-does-not-upload-when-clicking-preview

I will submit an RFE to try to get this fixed.

Submitted it as a bug request - I think it should qualify as a bug, see this post:
